Great Lakes Ice Cover Greatest in 35 Years

It’s been a long a cold winter here on the Great Lakes and many are looking forward to the warmth of spring but don’t count on the lakes warming up as fast as the nights! Ice coverage across the lakes are nearing record levels with 92% of the Great Lakes surface area covered as of March 6th This is the most coverage we’ve had since the 70s.
